![]() This aspect of Tim’s trading style makes me appreciate Tim as a unique trader. It’s Tim teaching you about a strategy, live trading it, then explaining what he did wrong, what he saw, and what made him take each action throughout the trade. I estimate that more than 12 of the 16 hours in this course are direct strategy education. This often means spending several hours talking about trading psychology, their personal trading journey, and other introductory maintenance that is either covered in 1,000 other places, or doesn’t really help you become a good trader. Many courses try to pack as many hours as they can to make it look like they’re giving you value. Though each person’s mileage may vary when trading Tim’s strategies, this course is all meat and potatoes. Trading Tickers is roughly 16 hours in length, and goes into detail regarding Tim’s various technical trading strategies. Tim’s trading philosophy can be summed up as “ trade the ticker, not the company” (originally a quote from Nate Michaud of Investors Underground). Tim does upload many of his losing and winning trades to his YouTube, so while you cannot solely take him on his word, he is more transparent than many teachers in his industry. With very few draw downs, one cannot be blamed for remaining skeptical of his claims, as these are not audited brokerage records, but simply trading journal entries. Grittani shares all of his trades on trading journal site Profit.ly, which is run by his mentor Tim Sykes. Grittani and Sykes appeared on Fox News during the massive popularity of the movie The Wolf of Wall Street, when penny stocks were a hot news item. While shorting OTCs is still part of Grittani’s strategy, he has said that the OTC market has cooled down and he trades much more NASDAQ stocks these days. After internalizing Sykes’ material, Grittani mostly shorted OTC stocks that were victims of pump-and-dump schemes. Tim blew up multiple small accounts trying to teach himself to trade, then he found penny stocks through Tim Sykes. Tim Grittani is known for being one of Tim Sykes’ “millionaire students” who turned $1,500 into over $6 million dollars. In this review we’re going to look over Grittani’s trading course Trading Tickers and try to determine it’s value for the money it costs. Grittani is one of Timothy Sykes’ famous “millionaire students.” Grittani rose to prominence due to his amazing feat of turning $1,500 into over a million dollars in just three years. Trading Tickers is a trading course created by day trader Tim Grittani. This review aims to determine whether or not this DVD is worth your money and time. The DVD is mostly about strategies Tim uses to trade OTC stocks, strategies which Tim himself doesn’t use as much nowadays, now that the OTC markets have calmed down. Trading did not seem that difficult. In this article, we review Tim Grittani’s Trading Tickers DVD. I spent the next month or so watching videos by Tim Sykes and Steven Dux. This ticker just ran over 10 percent in about 5 minutes, if I had capitalised on this move I would be rich in no time at all. ![]() It was right there and then I had my AH HA moment □. □ Shit I thought to myself! I wished for a recovery.Īround this time I caught up with my younger brother again, and he was analysing stock charts for some US penny stock, and he was showing me a pre-market breakout pattern (except at the time I did not really understand a lot of the lingo he was using). In the next two weeks, I was down 20% from my initial investment. In my first week, my portfolio was up 10%. I purchased some stocks in companies on the ASX (Australian Stock Exchange) that were hit hard because of COVID-19 and crossed my fingers that they make a comeback. This was around early April 2020, the market was still ‘down’ and I was positive that everything would be going ‘up’. These thoughts led me to dismiss day trading and pursue long term investing.Īfter watching some YouTube videos about long term investing and what to look at on the balance sheets, I decided to open up a brokerage account and added some money into this. ![]() ![]() After watching the DVD, I was convinced that day trading was not for me for several reasons the time zone between Australia and the US was not sustainable, day trading was like a full time job and I already had a job and 90% of people lost money day trading. The pandemic caused the market to crash about 30% in March and this is what sparked my interest in investing and trading.Īt the same time my younger brother was getting into day trading and he told me about Tim Grittani and gave me his Trading Ticker DVD.
